Perenco have two frontier exploration contracts covering two blocks in the north of Belize, Area A is principally onshore and Area B is mostly offshore.
The license areas are 3,250 square kilometres and 1,170 square kilometres respectively, and were identified as areas of Exploration potential using aeromagnetic processing and interpretation techniques that were developed by Perenco to identify additional exploration near our producing assets in Guatemala.

These Belize license areas have seen little previous exploration, and Perenco will be undertaking a high resolution aeromagnetic survey to allow planning of a 2D seismic programme to target “Xan-like” reef features in the sub-surface.
