Perenco has acquired a 50% interest and is currently the Operator for the two areas known
as Block 121 in the Maranon Basin. These areas are immediately to the north and east
of Perenco's wholly-owned Block 67 which contains the Paiche, Dorado and Pirana discoveries with estimated 2P resources of over 300 million barrels.
When the development is completed it is estimated that these fields will have potential
to produce up to 100,000 barrels of oil per day.

Perenco will participate in a continuing exploration programme in the region which is designed
to add to the proved reserve base of the discovered fields.
A reconnaissance 200km seismic acquisition programme is to be acquired in Block 121 Norte
in 2008, with a subsequent 6-well exploration programme in planning.
