North Gabon is the site of Perenco’s largest surface redevelopment project to date. To streamline operations for further development, Perenco overhauled the infrastructure:

• Development of Olende and M’Polunie Fields
• Construction of two power plants (14MW each) and high-voltage electrical distribution
• Laying of a distribution network linking Libreville and Port-Gentil to gas reserves
• Installation of a dual-product, 2 million-barrel, offshore terminal

The Fernan Vaz floating storage and offloading (FSO) system is one of the largest in the world. The new terminal enables Perenco to maximise the value of producing assets by storing and selling various grades of crude oil separately.
North Gabon project's other key benefits include:

• Overall reduction in operation costs and increased production efficiency
• Substantial improvements in well activation efficiency and field life expectancy
• Safer operations through real-time monitoring systems and emergency procedures
