Perenco’s acquisition in 2003 of assets in the Southern North Sea, UK, resulted in the company’s largest gas operation to date.

In 2007 the company has completed the purchase of an additional number of producing assets, expanding its portfolio which now comprises 17 different gas fields , three offshore compression hubs and a gas receiving terminal at Bacton.

Perenco’s 2007 operated gross production is in excess of 400 mmscfd produced through the Perenco operated terminal at Bacton, the Tullow operated at Bacton and the ConocoPhillips operated terminal at Theddlethorpe.

Focused on establishing an efficient operational model emphasising safety and reliability, Perenco expects to be able to improve operational and economic efficiency which will lead to an extension of the productive life and reserves of some of the fields.
