Perenco have the Sindi-Amedi Exploration License which is located in the Kurdistan Autonomous Region in Northern Iraq.
The license area is 2358 square kilometres, and is located to the Perenco-operated Silopi licenses in Turkey. The license is also adjacent to the DNO Tawke discovery and development.

The license area has seen no previous exploration, and 2D seismic acquired in 2008 will target large surface structures identified from satellite imagery.
Geological field studies will focus on developing an understanding of the development and the timing of the fold belt in this region in combination with sampling and geochemical analysis of the extensive seeps within the area. The intent is to prepare for exploration drilling in 2009.
