Development of the Yuralpa Field proved a major challenge due to the site’s remote location. The project entailed the construction of central processing facilities, including:
• A 12MW power generation plant
• Installation of flow lines and production facilities
• Installation of power and communications lines
• Installation of 60 km of 16-inch buried pipeline
• Facilities for re-injection of all produced water

A key component of the Yuralpa project was the continuous drilling campaign aimed at reaching required production levels, from both existing and newly-built well pads.
The Yuralpa Field was linked to an existing Agip export system by a 16-inch buried, fully-automated pipeline. The Agip facilities were also upgraded with the addition of an 80,000-bopd booster pump station in the Guacamayos Mountains and a 75,000 bbl storage tank in Baeza substation.
