Turkey

In January 1996, Perenco acquired several oil fields in the vicinity of Diyarbakir, South East Turkey. With daily production of 8 030 bopd (net share), Perenco is the largest foreign oil producer in the country today.

The Company currently operates some 90 wells and four production gathering stations within a 100 km-long zone. Perenco?s export facility is located at the Pirinçlik terminal, which exports crude oil to Mediterranean seaports.

Production levels have been sustained through recompletions, reactivations, secondary recovery by water injection, deepening, sidetracking, and by both development and exploration drilling activities. Two rigs are dedicated to well maintenance and activation, and a drilling rig is dedicated to development and exploration works. Despite several permits expiring in 2012, production levels have been maintained thanks to significant investments in infill drillings.

Perenco is also actively involved in exploration activities in Turkey, and is committed to increasing reserves through new field discoveries.
