Loche East Marine success in Gabon    

The latest Loche East Marine well (LCME-03) was put in production on Sunday 23rd November 2008. The 360m horizontal drain is flowing 950 bopd in natural flow. Gas lift activation is planned and should boost rates well above 1,000 bopd. The well was drilled 3 days ahead of schedule due to excellent performance during the 13 3/8" casing drilling phase (an offshore first for Perenco) and very good performance of a directional rotary drilling technology combined with an innovative well architecture.

LCME-03 follows the LCME-01 discovery well drilled by Perenco in 2007.
This well confirms our interest in the Loche East Marine N'Tchengue Ocean objective and demonstrates Perenco Gabon ability to implement innovative technology offshore Gabon. Loche East is 3 km North East of Turnix and the well is connected to Turnix facilities.
