Perenco Gabon Spill Response Drill

Perenco Gabon has responded successfully to a full scale week long anti-pollution drill at Batanga, the on-shore site between the Ocean and Fernan Vaz Laguna.

For the week, the site team and QHSE agents from across all Perenco Gabon fields also received training by OSRL experts. The exercise included the deployment of harbour buster and booms, which were deployed in conjunction with a delicate operation of export line pigging.

This very important and thorough drill not only reassured the surrounding communities of Perenco's ability to react to any oil spill in the area, but also served as confirmation that Perenco Gabon's emergency response equipment is amongst the best in West Africa.
