Perenco sponsored the IFP School team in the Course Croisière Edhec    

The IFP School team, sponsored by Perenco with an Archambault 35 footer raced in the Edhec Sailing Cup.


More than 3000 students partake in the annual CCE (Course Croisière Edhec) in Brest, the largest student sailing event in Europe between the 17-25 April. The weather was perfect and constant all week long: sunny and 15°C with a thermal wind allowing for great sailing conditions.

The regatta consisted of 2 to 3 races each day depending on how early the thermal winds blew in, with a 30 mile course midweek from Brest to Douarnenez with the teams spending the night at the port before racing back to Brest the next day. The regatta was not complete without viewings of a school of dolphins, a daily sprinkling of jellyfish and even a 3,5 meter shark. With solid races all week long, the IFP School-Perenco team came out 2nd in the student category and 8th in the general ranking.

On the last day the team participated in a race benefitting Sidaction, an organization that raises funds for AIDs research. The crew was proud to have raised the biggest sum for the charitable cause.
