Ebome

The offshore Ebome exploitation permit covers an area of 539km2 within the Douala basin, with water depths of up to 60m.

KF-1 well originally proved two hydrocarbon-bearing reservoirs. Although these fields yielded only marginal returns at the time of purchase, Perenco has succeeded in developing these assets using an innovative and dynamic strategy including:

  • Use of light surface facilities for more efficient, economical extraction
  • Installation of a former jack-up production platform with six wellheads
  • Installation of a storage tanker (70,000 DWT) adjacent to the platform

Placed on-stream in January 1997, the production rose to a peak of 11,484 bopd.
