Colombia

Perenco began operations in Colombia in 1993 after acquiring assets in the Llanos Basin. Perenco operates:

  • Six association contracts (Casanare, Estero, Corocora, Garcero, and Orocue)
  • One concession contract (Yalea)

Operations in Colombia have focused on developing these isolated fields spread over 9,000km2 by integrating them into a single operation. Perenco has succeeded in making these remote sites economical by rationalising operational costs.

The company's ongoing drilling campaign has already involved a total of 41 development wells and 11 exploratory wells.

Perenco provides more than 5,000 pupils in the province of Casanare with classrooms, teaching materials, meals, and transport, with the additional award of study grants to the most promising.
