Turkey

In January 1996, Perenco took over oil fields in the vicinity of Diyarbakir, South East Turkey. With daily production at 10,000 bopd (net share), Perenco is the largest foreign oil producer in the country today.

Perenco currently operates some 200 wells and seven production gathering stations within a 100km long zone. Perenco's export facility is located at the Pirinclik terminal, which exports crude oil to Mediterranean seaports.

Production levels have been sustained through recompletions, reactivations, secondary recovery by water injection, deepening, sidetracking, and by both development and exploration drilling activities.  Two workover rigs are dedicated to well maintaince.

Perenco is also actively involved in oil exploration activities in Turkey and committed to increasing reserves through new field discoveries. Perenco is one of the biggest investors in exploration activities in Turkey and will increase its investment in exploration projects, especially in South East Turkey.

Our operations are conducted in line with the Perenco Community Development policy. One of the most valuable projects is the Sahaban Bridge over the River Tigris, built by Perenco.
