Northern Iraq

Perenco owns the Sindi-Amedi Exploration License which is located in the Kurdistan Autonomous Region of Northern Iraq.

The license area is 2,358km2 and is located adjacent to the Silopi licenses in Turkey in which Perenco is a partner. The license is also adjacent to the Tawke field.

The license area has seen no previous exploration, and 2D seismic acquired in 2008 targeted large surface structures identified from satellite imagery.
Geological field studies will focus on developing an understanding of the development and the timing of the fold belt in this region in combination with sampling and geochemical analysis of the extensive seeps within the area. The intent is to prepare for exploration drilling in 2010.

Perenco continues to look for additional exploration opportunities in the region.
