Gas Development

In a mutually beneficial plan carried out with the Tunisian state authorities, Perenco increased gas production in El Franig and doubled the capacity of existing processing and transport infrastructures, which had reached their limit. This included laying a new gas transportation line.

• Drilling challenging wells to 4000m depth
• 1st successful hydraulic fracturing treatment  in Tunisia in the Ordovician
• 1st Turbo-expander to operate in Tunisia
• 1st LPG (gas processing by-product) sales contract with national company STEG
• Doubling of the gas transport capacity in Southern Tunisia
• Virtually zero atmospheric gas emissions
• 4,000,000 work hours without Lost Time Injury (LTI)
