Perenco holds with the National Company of Vietnam PVEP a 50% stake in block 67 of the Marañón Basin, located in the Northeast of the Loreto region. As of date three discoveries were made for a total of 200 million barrels of certified 2P reserves (Proved and Probable reserves). The fields of Piraña and Dorado started operating in November 2013.

Activities
In terms of oil production, Perenco project in the Marañon Basin is a flagship project for the country and was declared of national importance in April 2009.
The development plan includes the drilling of nearly 200 wells of deflected and horizontal architecture, starting from 18 platforms with minimal footprint, and the extension of processing facilities.
A buried export pipeline to link the existing pipeline from Nor Peruano to Andoas, 200 km southeast of block 67, completes this facility.
Since committing in Peru, Perenco has taken steps to operate in full compliance with the Social and Environmental Development Act signed with the local communities.
